This multi-adventure day allows you to see the best of Marin by land and by sea! Our partners at Fogcutter Tours have prepared a day trip to Muir Woods, a flight over the golden coast, and sightseeing in Sausalito paired with a locally prepared lunch to top the day. A ferry ride back to San Francisco encompasses all the must-see views in the North Bay.
The Experience
The morning begins with pickup from your hotel and a drive over the Golden Gate Bridge to the nearby wilderness of Marin County. We arrive early in the Woods, before most visitors, so you can experience the serenity of the grove in peace and quiet. When you are ready, we will drive back out into the Marin Headlands with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline in the background.
Retrace your morning adventure over the Marin Headlands and the redwoods on a Golden Gate Seaplane Tour, then turn left over the legendary Golden Gate Bridge. Continue on above Crissy Field, Downtown San Francisco, Oracle Park, and Alcatraz. Finish with a smooth landing back in Sausalito.
On your return, we will pop the cork on a champagne toast and enjoy a locally-sourced, organic lunch in the Marin sunshine. Finally, you will be dropped off in Sausalito to enjoy the village’s arty shops, funky houseboats, and charming cafes before boarding a ferry back to San Francisco’s Pier 39.
Experiences fill quickly, we recommend you reserve your tour 1-2 weeks out. The tour includes entrance to Muir Woods. Information on passenger minimum and weight per seat is available in our FAQ section at the bottom.
